Cutthorpe Coronation Tree The Coronation Tree was planted at the top of Common Lane, opposite the Institute, on 22nd June 1911 to mark the coronation of George V. In July each year, during the Cutthorpe Festival, the site of the traditional Well Dressing is close by. With a seat round it, it is a popular meeting point for walkers. In 2021 a group of residents produced a display of handmade poppies to mark Remembrance Day.
