Cutthorpe is a small picturesque village with superb views over Chesterfield, which is about 3 miles south-east. It spreads along 3 miles of the B6050 to the east of and is close to the Peak District National Park. There are 3 pubs, a village school, recreation ground with a cricket square and village institute plus the Linacre Reservoirs with beautiful bluebell woods and surrounding walks. An annual festival is held over the 2nd weekend in July together with the traditional well dressing ceremony. News in Brief  See more detailed news on the News and Events page Cutthorpe Village Charity There are several groups in the village engaged in similar acts of community development. There is interest from within these groups in the potential of forming a village charity whose purpose is to promote the interests of those living in the village. We’d like to hear your views - see more details on the News page Cutthorpe Creatives Craft group - next meeting: Wednesday 14th March 7.00 pm -  Paper folded flowers. Newsletter If anyone has anything to go into the March edition, please let Hilary know Defibrillator awareness evening Cutthorpe Institute Thursday 15th march 2018 - 7.30pm We hope it never needs to be used although we would like local people to know what to do in case of emergency, so please come along! Tea coffee and cake available Three Merry Lads Friday 23rd February Open Mic Night. Refurbishment taking place in March - pub will be closed on 11th March and reopens on 23rd March with a celebration evening. Jazz Evening The extrememly popular Whirligig jazz band have been booked for a Jazz night in the Institute on Friday 20th April. Burns Night celebrations Photos from the festivities on the Events Gallery 2018 Parish Plan Designation has been achieved. A  meeting to discuss the next stage, including Parish Councillors and representatives of Old Brampton and Wadshelf, will take place at the Institute at 7.30pm on 5th March.
