Cutthorpe is a small picturesque village with superb views over Chesterfield, which is about 3 miles south-east. It spreads along 3 miles of the B6050 to the east of and is close to the Peak District National Park. There are 3 pubs, a village school, recreation ground with a cricket square and village institute plus the Linacre Reservoirs with beautiful bluebell woods and surrounding walks. An annual festival is held over the 2nd weekend in July together with the traditional well dressing ceremony. News in Brief See more detailed news on the News and Events page Village Charity Invitation to all village residents to Coffee & Cake at the Institute - 2.00- 4.00 pm Saturday 13th April. Please do come along and meet those people who have come forward to be on the Charity steering group. Ask any questions, share your thoughts and suggestions. Three Merry Lads

Is now open and is serving food from Sunday 31st March (bookings taken). Please call in and make yourself known to BJ and Dawn and enjoy our newly revitalised pub. Cutthorpe Choir Back up and running after John Thurstan’s absence in Australia. Currently meeting at the Village Institute on Friday evenings 7.30-9.00 pm. Anyone is welcome - for more information phone John on 231336 or email j_w_thurstan@hotmail.com Cutthorpe Calendar 2019 Unfortunately a printers error was only spotted too late to get it reprinted (many having already been sold) and the November dates are showing a repeat of October! A replacement self-adhesive sheet has been produced to cover this over, so if you haven’t already got yours please contact Jane Johnstone (jane.johnstone@hotmail.co.uk) who will let you have replacement pages.
