Roundabout at Four Lane Ends, Cutthorpe, Derbyshire
Cutthorpe is a small picturesque village with superb views over Chesterfield, which is about 3 miles south-east. It spreads along 3 miles of the B6050 to the east of and is close to the Peak District National Park. There are 3 pubs, a village school, recreation ground with a cricket square, the Village Institute plus the Linacre Reservoirs with beautiful bluebell woods and surrounding walks. An annual festival is held over the 2nd weekend in July together with the traditional well dressing ceremony. There are also suggestions for individual mini-Well Dressings and Scarecrows - see News Men’s Shed It has been suggested that a ‘Men’s Shed’ could be set up in the village, based on the Men’s Sheds Association format.
