Roundabout at Four Lane Ends, Cutthorpe, Derbyshire
Cutthorpe is a small picturesque village with superb views over Chesterfield, which is about 3 miles south-east. It spreads along 3 miles of the B6050 to the east of and is close to the Peak District National Park. There are 3 pubs, a village school, recreation ground with a cricket square, the Village Institute plus the Linacre Reservoirs with beautiful bluebell woods and surrounding walks. An annual festival is held over the 2nd weekend in July together with the traditional well dressing ceremony. Covid 19 alert

Due to the current rate of Covid 19 infection and the increasing number of cases across North East Derbyshire, the District has been placed into the HIGH level of restrictions (tier 2 on the Covid levels of alert). This will take effect from the early hours of Saturday morning 17th October.

Cutthorpe Matters Charity AGM

and Open Village Consultation

This will be held on Saturday 14th November online via Zoom meetings - AGM 2.30-3.00 and Consultation 3.00- 4.00. All residents are welcome to take part but only Members can vote at the AGM. John Thurstan is kindly hosting these so if you would like to take part in either or both parts of the meeting please contact him j_w_thurstan@hotmail.com for a link.

Village Speed Checks

The Parish Council have agreed to acquire speed check equipment and provide tuition for volunteers.

Men’s Shed

It has been suggested that a ‘Men’s Shed’ could be set up in the village, based on the Men’s Sheds Association format. See Upcoming Events to find out more
